Colours of Cameroon – Weekly Inspiring Image

A vendor sells fruit and vegetables along the street in Bamenda Cameroon.

A bounty of beautiful fruits and vegetables is for sale at a roadside vendor’s stall in Bamenda, Cameroon. Despite its French and English influences Cameroon has nearly 300 living languages. Bible translation began in Cameroon during the mid 1800s when missionaries translated the Bible into Cameroon’s largest language – Douala.  Since that time 20 Bibles and more than 60 New Testaments have been published. While there are more than 90 translation projects currently underway, it is estimated that as many as 80 languages are still in need of support to begin. Please pray for the work of Bible translation in Cameroon.
