God’s Leading – Weekly Inspiring Image
Bonifacio Paulo’s salvation was a long process. His faith journey led him first to a Catholic and then a Nazarene seminary. “Honestly, I don’t remember a day that I can point to and say, ‘This is the day I gave my life to Jesus.’ What I do know is that my salvation is a miracle.” The clarity of hindsight brings a smile to his face as he reflects on those early years and how God had been leading him all along. His desire to get involved in Bible translation stemmed from his own experience with the Bible in his mother tongue – Makhuwa, “I am where I am, spiritually, because of the Makhuwa Bible,” explains Bonifácio. “[When I] read it in Makhuwa, it’s like I’m naked before God. It goes deep.” Read more of Bonifacio’s story. Photo by Søren Kjeldgaard | Words by Rodney Ballard
