Green Pastures – Weekly Inspiring Image
Two young children, members of a herder community in Tarialan, Mongolia, wander the slopes of one of the highest countries in the world. At least 40% of Mongolians live a nomadic lifestyle, regularly herding their animals to greener pastures. With the end of communism and religious oppression in 1991, the church has grown rapidly and when a New Testament translation into Halh (Mongol) was published in 2000 all ten thousand copies sold out on the first day. Many of Mongolia’s other 13 unique language communities have some scripture portions available to them, but need more. Please pray for the growing church in Mongolia. Photo: UN Photo/Eskinder Debebe
